Try InvoiceSherpa →What each plan is sized by
InvoiceSherpa counts open invoices: any unpaid invoices synced from your accounting platform that are in open or draft status, so drafts count. It sets the plan from that count, and passing a limit moves the account up with a prorated charge.
Upflow counts Gross Invoice Value, the total value of the invoices you manage through Upflow in a year. Starter covers up to $10M of it and 40,000 new invoices a year, and larger plans raise both limits, each by quote. The two meters measure different things, so no figure on one side matches a figure on the other.
Channels: email, SMS, calls and letters
InvoiceSherpa sends reminders by email or SMS, chosen for each reminder in a workflow, and SMS payment reminders are ticked on all three plans. Upflow lists email, SMS, call and letter reminders. Its pricing page marks SMS, calls and letters as subject to a usage fee, with plans prepaid and usage fees billed afterward.
Payments and their fees
InvoiceSherpa takes card and ACH payments through the processor you connect and adds a 1% transaction fee on all invoices paid. On $10,000 collected in a month that is $100, before the processor's own fees. The fee is waived for payments run through Propelr when the account is opened through InvoiceSherpa's integrations page.
Upflow sells its own payment gateway as a paid add-on: cards at 3.5% + $0.30, ACH direct debit at 0.8% capped at $5, and a platform fee of $390 a month.
Users, entities and the free Discover plan
Every InvoiceSherpa plan includes unlimited user accounts and unlimited customers. Upflow lists unlimited user seats, and its plans include 1 entity, 2 entities or unlimited entities, by plan.
Upflow's free option is its Discover plan, a dashboard with insights that it calls full visibility of accounts receivable, free forever. InvoiceSherpa has no free plan: its pricing page offers a 14-day free trial of the full platform with no credit card, and at the end you pick a plan and enter card details.
Who should pick InvoiceSherpa and who should pick Upflow
Pick InvoiceSherpa when your firm has 1 to 30 people, invoices from QuickBooks Online or Xero, and wants a printed price with an open-invoice count that fits a band. Its limits: drafts count toward the plan, a yearly payment is a year's commitment, and its integrations page lists QuickBooks Online, Xero and Clio as its accounting platforms.
Pick Upflow when your firm accepts a quote and a yearly commitment and wants calls and letters, at usage fees, beside email and SMS. Pick Paidnice when a small firm wants a printed monthly price: Essentials is $69 a month, billed monthly, for up to 150 new invoices a month. The wider field is in Upflow alternatives and best accounts receivable automation software, and InvoiceSherpa pricing has the plan bands.
