InvoiceSherpa free trial: length, card and what it includes
InvoiceSherpa's free trial lasts 14 days, gives you the full platform and asks for no credit card, as its pricing page and FAQs state. When the 14 days end, you pick a plan and enter card details.
The entry plan, Sole Proprietor, covers up to 100 open invoices, meaning unpaid invoices synced from your accounting platform in open or draft status. It costs $49 a month on the Monthly view or $41 a month on the Yearly view, billed as one yearly payment, plus a 1% transaction fee on all invoices paid (as read on October 31, 2026).
| Tool | Free start | What happens after |

Try InvoiceSherpa →Before day one: the account starts paused
A new account starts in System Paused mode, which means no reminder goes out until you switch the system on. InvoiceSherpa's activation help lists four jobs to finish first:
- Connect your accounting platform.
- Connect your payment processor.
- Add your company information and logo.
- Complete your payment settings.
InvoiceSherpa's pages give the trial's length but not its start point, so ask InvoiceSherpa whether the 14 days run from sign-up or from switching the system on.
What to test inside the 14 days
Take an IT services firm with about 300 open invoices and a few slow-paying customers who need a firmer schedule. Its trial checklist:
- Connect QuickBooks Online, Xero or Clio, the three accounting platforms InvoiceSherpa lists.
- Open the preloaded workflow: reminders 7 days before due, on the due date, 7 days past due and 14 days past due.
- Put the slow payers in one customer group, a set of customers that share schedules, autopay rules and late fees, and give it a firmer schedule.
- Send a reminder by email or text to an internal address before any customer sees one.
- Try a card or ACH pay link; your payment processor decides which options exist.
The how to automate invoice reminders guide sets out a five-touch cadence to test that firmer schedule against.
When the trial ends: plan choice and refunds
At the end you pick a plan and enter card details. The plan is set automatically from open invoices, drafts included, so the firm above lands in Small Business (101 to 500 open invoices): $99 a month on the Monthly view or $83 a month on the Yearly view, billed as one yearly payment, plus the 1% fee on all invoices paid.
InvoiceSherpa's terms call subscription fees paid non-refundable, except as noted. The one documented exception is a prorated refund when a plan changes mid-cycle. InvoiceSherpa pricing covers every plan, and is InvoiceSherpa legit covers the renewal terms.
Who should start with InvoiceSherpa's trial, and who should not
Start the InvoiceSherpa trial if you invoice from QuickBooks Online or Xero and want to test text reminders, customer groups and a pay link together.
Pick Paidnice for a free start counted in actions, meaning an email, a text, a late fee added or an escalation created: 20 free, with no time limit and no card. Pick Upflow for its free Discover plan, a dashboard with insights; its reminder plans are by quote.
